Nico Carrillo Muay Thai Seminar – ONE World Champion

I am hugely excited to announce that reigning ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Nico Carrillo will be coming to Evade Martial Arts for an exclusive Warrior Collective seminar.

There are opportunities to attend seminars with great fighters.

And then there are opportunities to learn from somebody while they are actively competing at the very highest level in the world.

Nico Carrillo falls firmly into the second category.

Still in the prime of his competitive career, the Scottish fighter has risen through ONE Championship with a devastating style that has seen him finish a succession of elite opponents and establish himself at the top of the promotion's Featherweight Muay Thai division.

On Friday 15th January, you'll have the chance to step onto the mats and learn directly from him.

Train with the Reigning ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion

Nico's rise through ONE Championship has been remarkable.

After announcing himself within the promotion with a stoppage victory, he quickly demonstrated that his physicality and aggressive style could work against some of the world's most experienced Muay Thai fighters.

His ONE Championship run has included victories over:

• Muangthai PK Saenchai

• Nong-O Hama

• Saemapetch Fairtex

• Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong

• Luke Lessei

• Shadow Mavinn

Along the way, Nico has repeatedly demonstrated the power, pressure and finishing ability that have become hallmarks of his fighting style.

After moving back up to Featherweight, he knocked out the legendary Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong before stopping American standout Luke Lessei.

Those performances earned him an opportunity to challenge Shadow Mavinn for the ONE Interim Featherweight Muay Thai World Championship.

This time Nico went the full five rounds, defeating the experienced Thai fighter to finally achieve his ambition of becoming a ONE World Champion.

He was subsequently elevated to undisputed ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion, putting the Scottish fighter officially at the top of one of the strongest striking divisions in the world.

One of Britain's Biggest Muay Thai Success Stories

British Muay Thai has produced some exceptional fighters over the years.

But becoming a World Champion on a global platform such as ONE Championship places Nico within a very small group.

And his rise is particularly significant because he's done it while representing Scotland and British Muay Thai against some extraordinary international opposition.

From fighting on the domestic and European scene to knocking out established Thai legends and eventually becoming ONE World Champion, his progression provides an incredible example of what a fighter from the UK can achieve.

For younger competitors in particular, that's powerful.

The route from a British Muay Thai gym to the biggest stages in the sport isn't theoretical.

Nico Carrillo has actually travelled it.

A Rare Opportunity to Learn Directly from Nico Carrillo

Seminars with active fighters at this level don't come around very often.

Training footage can teach you a lot.

Watching fights can teach you a lot.

Online instruction can teach you a lot.

But there is something different about being on the mats with the fighter themselves.

You can see the details up close.

You can hear why they make particular decisions.

You can understand how they generate power.

You can experience the timing and positioning behind techniques that can sometimes be difficult to appreciate through a screen.

And you can ask questions directly.

That's why I'm particularly excited to be bringing Nico to Evade Martial Arts for this Warrior Collective seminar.

Whether you're an active fighter, an aspiring competitor, a coach or simply somebody who loves technical Muay Thai, there will be a huge amount to take away from spending time learning from a reigning ONE World Champion.
