Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, on July 27, 1980, Ross battled personal challenges in his youth before discovering Muay Thai at 23 — a decision that transformed both his life and his legacy.
He began training Muay Thai in 2003 at Master Toddy’s gym, quickly immersing himself in the sport’s fundamentals and traditions. Ross also trained multiple times in Thailand, sharpening his craft at renowned camps including Sitkuanim, Sasiprapa, Sitsongpeenong, Sitmonchai and Sutai in Phuket, experiences that helped elevate his competitive edge against some of the world’s best.
During his career Ross compiled an impressive record and captured multiple championship titles, including:
Bellator Kickboxing Featherweight World Champion
Lion Fight Super Lightweight World Champion
WBC Muaythai International Super Lightweight Champion
WBC USA National Welterweight Champion
USMF National Welterweight Champion
FIDAM International Welterweight Champion
He faced and defeated elite competition — including Thai legends and top international contenders — and is widely recognised for his high-volume striking, slick boxing integration and relentless forward pressure.
Ross was also voted Muay Thai North American Fighter of the Year, and his willingness to fight anyone, anywhere — even those with deeper experience or more traditional backgrounds — cemented his reputation as a true warrior in the ring.
From Champion Fighter to Global Coaching Influence
After a storied competitive career, Ross transitioned into coaching, bringing his deep technical insight and fight-tested philosophy to students around the world.
Today he is a globally sought-after striking coach whose teachings blend traditional Muay Thai fundamentals with sharp boxing transitions, range control, counter-attack systems and strategic clinch work — all anchored in systems he developed through elite competition and international training.
