Damien Trainor, the former multiple World Muay Thai champion, is a force to be reckoned with in the martial arts world. With a long list of accolades and achievements in both fighting and coaching, Damien's career is a testament to his unwavering dedication, hard work, and passion for Muay Thai.
Damien's journey in Muay Thai began when he was just 14 years old, training at K-Star gym in Birmingham, England. He quickly made a name for himself, winning regional and national titles in his school boy career before turning pro and entering the adult ranks. At 17, Damien became the English champion, and just a year later, he won the British title, establishing himself as the UK No1.
While Damien gained a number of European titles in various governing bodies, he eventually grew bored of the UK scene and decided to compete in Thailand, where he spent long periods fighting all over Asia. During this time, he won the Hong Kong Champion title, honing his skills and learning how the game is played in the country of its origin.
Damien's success continued upon his return home, where he won a fourth European title followed by two World titles with WMC and IKF. He retired as one of the most well-known Muay Thai fighters from the UK and has since found himself in high demand as a coach. Damien has worked with fighters and champions in the UFC, Bellator, Glory Kickboxing, BAMMA, and the K-1, demonstrating his exceptional coaching skills and expertise in Muay Thai, MMA, and Kick-Boxing.
Damien Trainor's legacy lives on through his gym, K-Star Legacy, which has become known throughout the fight world for its exceptional coaching and training. The goal of K-Star Legacy is to give all students the same training as top athletes who have specifically asked for Damien's help. Through his gym, Damien continues to inspire and teach others, passing on his knowledge, skills, and passion for martial arts to the next generation of fighters.
